harmonious combination of ground and design by alternating light and dark
colors. The materials used in most Isfahan carpets consist of high
quality baby lamb wool with silken highlights around the flowing motifs.
The foundation of Isfahan rugs usually consist of silk which run all
through the base of the rug leaving long silky fringe at each end.
